Bio
I call myself Heathen - I am devoted to Sigyn, and also to Her husband Loki.

I'm aware that in the USA, the term "heathen" carries all manner of connotations. I am not an American. To me, "heathen" means "Northern European-flavoured pagan". No more, no less. Issues of racism, anti-wooj, reconstructionism vs. universalism, cultural folkway vs. religious faith, O HAY UR NOT DOING IT RITE don't even come into it - and I don't get why they should.

I don't call myself Asatru, or Vanatru, or even Rokkrtru - I'm not primarily aligned to any one group or tribe. They're all there, they're all doing stuff, I think you ignore any of them to your own detriment.

Onward...

Many of my posts are Friends-Locked. I don't think that LJ friends are like Pokemon - I feel no pressing need to "collect them all". ;-) I'll usually Friend someone if a) they ask, I recognise them from somewhere, and have no issue with their posts or b) I know their posts from LJ communities and would like to read further. I don't mind if you Friend me (polite to ask first...), although I don't have a heap of time online, and so may not read or comment on your LJ often, if at all.

Linguistic

27% Logical, 25% Spatial, 45% Linguistic, 39% Intrapersonal, 37% Interpersonal, 12% Musical, 18% Bodily-Kinesthetic and 31% Naturalistic!

"Verbal-linguistic intelligence has to do with words, spoken or written. People with verbal-linguistic intelligence display a facility with words and languages. They are typically good at reading, writing, telling stories and memorizing words and dates. They tend to learn best by reading, taking notes, listening to lectures, and via discussion and debate. They are also frequently skilled at explaining, teaching and oration or persuasive speaking. Those with verbal-linguistic intelligence learn foreign languages very easily as they have high verbal memory and recall, and an ability to understand and manipulate syntax and structure.

Careers which suit those with this intelligence include writers, lawyers, philosophers, journalists, politicians and teachers." (Wikipedia)

Your result for The Presidential Capacity Test...

Chief Legal Strategist

58% Values, 84% Charisma and 71% Judgment!

"In recent years, anyone in the government, certainly anyone in the FBI or the CIA ... the main bad guy is the chief advisor to the president." - Charlton Heston

You're a bit too slimy. Some call you the puppet-master - the Presidential Adviser pulling the strings. Let's be honest - you've got the charisma and the judgement; you've just got a few too many skeletons in the closet to sit in the Presidential highchair.

The public doesn't trust you, and probably rightly so. You're better suited behind the curtain, calling the important shots and spinning out perfectly-worded press releases. Many consider you to be the bad guy and certainly popular culture has painted you that way, but someone needs to make the decisions no-one else can. Keep pulling those strings.

Your result for The which philosophy suits your personality? Test...

Cogito Ergo Sum, by Descartes

44% Nature, 71% Rationalism, 55% Religion, 30% Freedom, 57% Individuality, 33% Power and 52% Uncertainty!

You scored highest on the variable Rationalism.
Rationalism was an important part of Descartes' philosophy.

René Descartes, 1596 - 1650, France.

The phrase he is most famous for is Cogito Ergo Sum which means "I think therefore I am". Before Descartes, philosophy and theology were pretty much the same thing. But for the first time he didn't start with God in his reasoning, he started with humans. This was quite revolutionary at the time and caused an "explosion" in philosophy and science. We became the center of reasoning instead of god. Which implied there is nothing we won't be able to find out/understand in time.
